Event Details and Highlights

NICATISA will provide a platform for engagement, collaboration, and unlock trade opportunities between the private sector and governments. The theme is “Nigeria and Canada: Leveraging Inter-Parliamentary Collaboration for Bilateral Political, Social, and Economic Developments.” Over the years, various initiatives have sought to connect Nigerian businesses with Canada. However, these efforts have lacked direct government involvement, leading to regulatory challenges, limited trade access, and missed investment opportunities.

In a government-led economy like Nigeria, official participation is critical to shaping policies, providing institutional support, and fostering a conducive trade environment. Likewise, Canadian businesses and investors require structured engagement with Nigerian policymakers to understand regulatory frameworks and investment incentives.

NICATISA 2025 is designed to:

  • Strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.
  • Facilitate government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking.
  • Promote joint ventures in sectors like agriculture, mining, aviation, and technology.
  • Advocate for Preferential Trade Agreements (PTA) and Bilateral Air Service Agreements (BASA).
  • Empower women and youth in trade and governance.

This panel discussion will focus on Bilateral Trade, Investment Expansion, and Business Collaboration.
